First off, the boys are exceptionally healthy. No sneezing, wheezing, or mites/lice/fleas to be seen which is a great upgrade from my first rat, Petey, who had all of the above. They were a little shy at first, Rex (the charcoal), more so than Cody (the Himalayan). However, they both are becoming braver and braver each day. They both will willingly crawl out on my arm, and Cody will even perch on my shoulder for about a minute. However, they are both so curious, they would rather run around and explore which they do a lot of. They have so much energy at times! They love to climb up anything and everything they can! It's fun to watch them climb the bars of the cage to get into the hammocks. They especially love their tube hammock which they both sleep in together. They wrestle each other a lot, but then end the matches with a good group grooming. They love Cheerios, especially Rex. Cody has a tendency to find his eaten by his brother! They also really like their Harlan Teklad lab blocks. I'm giving them the 2016 now, and they can eat as much of it as they want. I have to say that these are the most entertaining rats I've had. Extremely healthy, very outgoing and inquisitive.
Working with you was really nice. I'm sure other breeders may not have been as willing to answer all my questions about everything. It really made the waiting period before I got my boys a lot less stressful. The pick-up was stress free as well. The boys were all ready to go when I got there, freshly bathed and everything.
